Should the water valve be turned off when changing the filter? The filter does not require the water to be shut off, but it is recommended to turn off the water valve to de-pressurize if there are difficulties removing the old filter or installing the new one.

What should be done if the filter cartridge looks different from the current one? Different brands may have their own designs, but the key part of the filter should be the same. Please try to install it.

Is it necessary to replace the filter every six months? Yes, the filter needs to be changed every six months or sooner, depending on water quality and frequency of use. Failure to change it can reduce flow or cause deposits or rust.

Is it necessary to flush the filter after installation? The new filter should be flushed for 2 minutes to condition it. The first 2 ice batches should be discarded, as harmless charcoal residuals may be present. Flushing removes carbon fines.
